A pioneer in the most literal sense. Krafty's Slam The Breaks series and his Mixmag Instant Party covermount didn't just define an era, they set the blueprint for the bass movement that soundtracked the 21st century. Two Breakspoll award-winning albums, a FabricLive 34 mix, and a back catalogue spanning Ministry of Sound, OWSLA, Fabric, Skint and Finger Lickin' tell you everything about where he sits in the canon.
On the road his CV reads like a who's who: Big Day Out alongside Rage Against The Machine and Bjork, Summadayze straight after Groove Armada, Glastonbury, Bestival, sell-out nights at Fabric, Brixton Electric and Matter. He's shared stages with Grand Master Flash, Z Trip, Thievery Corporation and Kurtis Blow and played everything from the Chinese Grand Prix to Spotify's launch party.
10 July is special as it also marks the release of Turbulence, Krafty's new album on Against The Grain. Drawing from UKG, breaks, bassline and jazz, it's the most significant record of his in over a decade. Be the first to hear it live at The Stables Matakana.
