The idea resonated with DJs, artists, and communities who recognised the value of a day dedicated to the music, fashion, and creativity that shape the scene. The date now anchors events across the world, each one defined by the people who keep goth culture alive.
Auckland’s gathering unfolds inside the familiar brick‑and‑black walls of Ding Dong Lounge, a venue that understands the mood, the music, and the crowd that fills the room for nights like this. The atmosphere builds from the moment the doors open, and the space becomes a home for everyone who thrives in the dark.

Tāmaki Makaurau’s post‑punk five‑piece return with crooner‑dark vocals, basslines that move with intent, and guitars that shimmer with tension.
