Greta O’Leary and Michaela Tempers are banding together for a double bill on Saturday 13 June at Vogelmorn Upstairs. Join Greta and Michaela for a cosy evening of indie-folk music as they celebrate their recent releases, River Dark and Good Woman.
Greta O’Leary
Tāmaki Makaurau songsmith Greta O’Leary writes with a surreal clarity of vision, the line between art and artist, self and image - is razor thin. Raised on rolling hills in northern New Zealand, and coming of age anywhere but here, O’Leary is a writer with her own lens and language. Her breakthrough debut album ‘River Dark’ was released in 2025, landing at #9 on the Aotearoa Album Charts, it received heavy support from RNZ, Rolling Stone AU/NZ, PBS FM, the SRN and toured ten dates through Aotearoa and Victoria.
Michaela Tempers
Michaela Tempers is a writer and musician based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa. While studying for her master’s in Creative Writing, she began writing a new collection of songs exploring the complexities of womanhood. These songs formed the basis for her debut EP, Good Woman, and feature mediaeval heroines, love, anxiety and death. The record’s six tracks are rich with incisive detail, performed with sincerity and wit.
