Auckland-born, Los Angeles-based artist Lisa Crawley returns home for a special headline show at Big Fan on June 18, celebrating the release of her new single “Hurry Up and Wait.”
Drawing on the nostalgia of 2010s indie pop, the track pairs jangly immediacy with Crawley’s signature touches—omnichord textures, clarinet lines, and sharply observed lyricism.
The release follows her recent piano covers EP Songs I Like But Did Not Write – Vol. 2, recorded at The Village Studios, and builds on the momentum of her 2025 EP New Girl Syndrome. The project featured standout singles “What You Can Do,” which reached #1 on 95bFM, and “The Gatekeeper,” which gained significant radio support.
Known for her wit, storytelling, and genre-blurring arrangements, Crawley’s live performances strike a balance between intimacy and offbeat charm. This hometown show marks the first chance to hear “Hurry Up and Wait” live—alongside fan favourites and reimagined covers—making for a one-night-only return that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking.
pop,
Lisa Crawley
