Violinist Skyla Murray returns to Dunedin while on a short break from her overseas studies at the Sibelius Academy in Finland.
Skyla and pianist Tom McGrath will present a recital with works by Sibelius and Brahms. The programme pairs the fun and charming character of Sibelius with the warmth and nostalgia of Brahms. Skyla will also premiere a new work developed in collaboration with Finnish composer Jaakko Kilpeläinen.
Skyla is very excited to be performing for her hometown audience again after spending the past few years overseas. All proceeds from the recital will go towards supporting her ongoing studies abroad.
