Following FRESH LAUNDRY’s month-long installation in five laundromats across Tāmaki Makaurau and a brief appearance in Auckland Art Gallery, the washing machine jukeboxes have all returned to Lim Chhour Food Court, Karangahape Rd.
This time however they’ll be part of a free, public, archival installation.
From the 24th July - 30th August, the washing machine jukeboxes will be spinning footage from past LC installations featuring: VENDOR, Goodspace’s release where the album was the menu and the songs were the dishes, PEDAL, a cycle-powered music video screening, and of course FRESH LAUNDRY where unreleased Aotearoa music aka ‘the c-sides’ was presented in laundromats.
Opening on the 24th July, 6pm this free archival exhibition is an invitation to everyone to inhabit the Lim Chhour space as an unconventional gallery as well as an exceptional spot to dine in.
Opening Hours: 9am - 9pm Monday - Sunday
