Established in 2003, Serenna formed out of an idea to challenge the listener with unsettling themes, wrapped in a beguiling veneer. After six years of serenading audiences in Wellington and further afield, the band fell silent. Now, as if keelhauled through the shit of existence, Serenna has arisen for the end times with a defiant brand of apocalyptic. Forged from neofolk and gothic rock influences, Serenna brings new and old tales of love, death and despair for those brave enough to listen.
Tragedies is a Pōneke based trio that blends elements of trip-hop, alt-rock and post-punk and explores the overlap of beauty and horror with ethereal harmonies, haunting melodies and moments of heavy industrial grit that invite the listener to be vulnerable and revel in the tragedies and triumphs of life.
