Flannel Hound presents, MIXED DOUBLES!
Two acts will play two sets each, rotating through the night. They'll be covering some of each others songs and generally working together to put on a completely one-off performance. This show is all about mixing up the gig format, encouraging artist collaboration, and producing a truly unique experience that has to be seen IN PERSON!

Mousey
Mousey’s music is emotional and cathartic. A songwriter first and foremost, there’s a captivating depth to her music, delivered with unrivalled sincerity and skill. As a live act, Mousey’s performances are characterised by her faultless vocals, her multi instrumental musicianship and raw emotional energy.
Mousey released her third album The Dreams of Our Mothers’ Mothers! in 2024, earning her a second APRA Silver Scroll nomination with Home Alone, alongside continued praise from listeners and industry alike. Described as fascinating, complex and cinematic, The Dreams of Our Mothers’ Mothers! is a further expansion into Mousey’s artistry and pushing the boundaries of her writing, leaving no musical or thematic stone unturned as she delves into the depths of family relationships and motherhood.

Model Home
Model Home is a Christchurch, New Zealand quartet founded in 2018 bringing their localised
take on midwest emo. Following on from their self-titled 2019 EP, the debut album ...And
Nobody Made A Sound was released in 2023 on Papaiti Records (NZ) / False Peak Records
(AU) and landed at #8 in the NZ Albums chart, #3 on the Independent Music NZ Albums chart
with three singles charting on the Student Radio Network Top 10 and Radioscope NZ
Alternative airplay charts. After a national tour to promote the album and appearing at Camp A
Low Hum 2024, as well as supports for Mom Jeans (US) and PUP (CA), they are currently
writing for their sophomore release.

Our ticketing model:
When Neck of the Woods nearly closed its doors in June 2026, the whole arts scene recognised that the old model of funding venues through alcohol is unsustainable at best, and dangerous at worst. That's why Flannel Hound are trialling a model which includes a $5 kickback to the venue for every ticket sold.
The Flannel Hound Kaupapa is to leave every part of the arts ecosystem we encounter better off for our interaction. With that in mind, trialling a model like this seemed like a no brainer!
