LÁLÁ – Between Worlds returns to Ponsonby Social Club with SUBTERRANEAN CURRENTS — an afternoon of electronic music, deep grooves, live sound and visual art.
The music will move from downtempo, organic and atmospheric sounds into deeper, more dance floor-focused house grooves, with DJ sets from Gabriela Gonzalez and Suzy 4tons.
Matt Sephton will appear across two different moments of the event. First, he will present material from his new album Vā in a special live performance shaped by field recordings and sounds captured in the natural environments of Aotearoa. Later, he will return to the decks for a DJ set.
Matt’s live performance will be accompanied by projections featuring the striking black-and-white work of Brazilian visual artist May H.D., creating an immersive meeting of sound and image.
Come early, settle into the garden, enjoy the music and stay for the dance floor.
