Experience a captivating musical journey featuring Basant Madhur on Tabla and his daughter Sargam Madhur on Sitar, celebrating the timeless tradition of Indian Classical Music and the musical legacy of the great Pt. Ravi Shankar.
Basant Madhur, a highly experienced musician and performer, has performed across New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Fiji and India, collaborating with many renowned musicians, including Grammy Award-winning artists. He has also successfully presented two Arts on Tour productions: “India Meets Ireland” and the Indo-Western classical fusion project “Shades of Shakti.”
Sargam Madhur is one of New Zealand’s leading young sitar performers. She has performed successfully at numerous festivals and prestigious events across New Zealand, bringing the rich and beautiful sound of the sitar to audiences of diverse backgrounds.
Together, father and daughter create a unique musical dialogue between sitar and tabla, bringing generations of Indian musical tradition together in a memorable celebration of Raaga, rhythm and heritage.
