The October Songwriters’ Showcase on 11 October will feature Tom Kane, Brittle Star and Goldenchild.
Brittle Star is a new voice in the Pōneke scene, bringing new and honest originals that lay their tender bones bare and then wrap them up again in gentle harmonies and lucid lyricism.
Goldenchild is surprising and unexpected. Rich songwriting to make you feel intensely, dance, and sing. Lush acoustic rhythms, dense funk grooves, and the catchiest melodies. Based in the greatest city on earth (Wellington) our unlikely crew Matt - Bass, Chuck - Drums & Mo - Vocals/guitar, are proud to share our music with you!
Tom Kane is one of Wellington music’s standout singer songwriters, but sadly also one its most under exposed. This will be a rare opportunity to take in a full set of Tom’s gentle but powerful and insightful songs.
The show will kick off at 7pm with Brittle Star, followed by Tom Kane 7:45-ish, and Golden Child and the TGs from 8:30-ish.
