This Sunday presents Lockett Plays Monk!
Powerhouse drummer or tasteful timekeeper? You decide. Internationally renowned drummer Mark Lockett takes the stage for a very special outing with his good friends, masterful musicians Jake Baxendale on saxophone and Seth Boy on bass. A longtime admirer of Thelonious Monk, Lockett has recorded arrangements of Monk’s music on previous albums, and now brings that spirit to a chordless trio setting where the music can go in any direction at any time. Joyful, rhythmically engaging, and full of surprises, this is a show not to be missed.
