Los Angeles duo After make their New Zealand debut this summer, bringing their genre-blurring sound to The Tuning Fork on Friday 8 January 2027.
Made up of Justine Dorsey and Graham Epstein, After arrive fresh from the release of their debut album Fell Asleep in the Sun via Mom + Pop Music. Across 13 tracks, the duo blend grungy guitars, trip-hop, drum & bass, shoegaze and sharply written pop, drawing on the sounds and imagery of the early 2000s while exploring memory, nostalgia and growing older.
Since coming together in 2023, After have quickly built international momentum, selling out headline shows in New York, Los Angeles, Austin and Toronto, touring arenas in support of The Neighbourhood, and landing music in Apple and Gap campaigns. Now, they’ll bring Fell Asleep in the Sun to Aotearoa for the first time with one special Auckland headline show.
