Dublin-born, Aotearoa-based musician Dónal Gunning is hitting the road with his band The Bucks to celebrate the release of his debut album, No Other Option.
Since moving to New Zealand in 2022 to pursue music full-time, Dónal (Dough-null) has built a reputation for high-energy live shows, blending Irish charm with the attitude of classic rock, indie and grunge. Two national tours, an international tour of Ireland, two EPs and a string of singles have laid the groundwork for his debut album.
From Ireland to New Zealand, No Other Option is a collection of songs about packing up your life and pursuing music on the other side of the world — 10 tracks covering life, love, struggle and fun.
Released in October 2026, Dónal & The Bucks are taking the album to stages around Aotearoa.
