Hawai‘i roots reggae artist Mike Love returns to Aotearoa this October for a five-date headline tour in support of his 2025 album Teachers. The New Zealand run comes ahead of Mike joining Katchafire for their Revival World Tour across Australia in October and November.
Renowned for his extraordinary one-man-band live show, Mike builds each performance entirely in real time, combining guitar, keyboard, melodica, beatboxing and a pedalboard loaded with loopers to create bass lines, rhythms, harmonies and layered arrangements on the spot — with nothing pre-recorded. Blending roots reggae with rock, soul, blues, folk and hip hop, Mike describes his sound as “revolutionary consciousness music.”
Fresh from another year of more than 250 shows worldwide, and continuing to release music through his independent label Love Not War Records, Mike brings his genre-defying live experience to Christchurch, Wellington, Mount Maunganui, Raglan and Leigh this October.
