'Pretending to be Famous' led by Andrew Healey, is a five-piece band from Auckland, New Zealand.
Blending rich melodies with infectious hooks, the band generates a high-energy sound reminiscent of The Beatles and Crowded House.
Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Andrew Healey, bassist/vocalist Amos Clarke, vocalist Tanya Hiskens, drummer Dave Morello and keyboardist Gray Patterson, PTBF have come a long way since forming in 2024. Their debut single, ‘Liberation Day,’ is due for release in November, and they are working on an album that is due for release in 2027.

The venue, WorkShop 26 is a performance and arts space situated on private property at 26 Donovan Street, on the edge of the commercial district of Blockhouse Bay.
There is a mix of chairs and couches, with some space available for dancing. Plenty of parking is available in the surrounding area, including on the street, at the shopping centre and in nearby streets.
Limited parking is available on the property, but please leave this for those unloading musical equipment or for mobility reasons.
Tea and coffee are provided free of charge. Please note: there is no bar.
