A born and bred farmer, Triggar spent years farming sheep and beef and dairy across both New Zealand and Australia while writing songs, singing in pubs and producing 4 of his own albums.
In 2024 he relaunched himself as “Triggar Happy”. Triggar’s breakthrough album “Talk Is Cheap” made #1 on the Official Top 20 Aotearoa/New Zealand Album Chart in December 2024.
Triggar followed this up with another #1 album “Love, Loyalty, Respect” in November 2025.
Two of Triggar Happy’s recent singles, “Zombies” & “Sundown” recently featured in the top 20 in the Aotearoa/New Zealand Music single charts.
His rock song “Zombies” is played frequently on The Rock FM and featured in The Rock 2000 in 2026, gaining many votes from the public.
Multiple radio stations across New Zealand including iHeartCountry, Cruise FM, BayRock FM and CFM play several of Triggar's songs on regular rotation.
