Yolanda play rock music. Their origins are unclear, but already have shown they can play with the tightness and intensity of your new favourite band. Their sound begins somewhere near The Black Key’s riff/attitude driven standard, being churned through a Flaming Lips songwriting machine. You may remember Yolanda warming the stage prior to May’s Music Month Extravaganza in support of So So Modern. Come along and be amongst the first to hear their new single, material from the new EP recorded by Karl Steven of Supergroove and Drab Doo Riff’s fame.

FPKK are a stalwart of the New Zealand live scene and are no strangers to the live stage here, and abroad. The music is inspired by the swinging sounds of the 60’s and the naughty dregs of society. Faster Pussycat Kill Kill are influenced by such greats as Brian Setzer, Tom Waits, The Sonics and Wanda Jackson. Modern influences include The Hives and The Kills. Messy. Good.

Husk are a Psych/Rock Trio from Auckland fronted by man about town Ukiah Brown. Ukiah has been playing for years in various lineups of musicians, but from the looks of things, HUSK is here to stay. The band are GREAT live, and have an EP in the pipeline.
