SHAKAHN
With a sound described as melodic and uplifting, yet at the same time intense and unrelenting, Wellington 5 piece metal outfit Shakahn have been challenging peoples’ ideas of the metal genre since they formed over 15 years ago.
Renowned for their intense live shows, Shakahn frequently performed to packed out venues before vocalist Marty Gadd took a hiatus from the band in late 2005.
During the break the band performed with several vocalists to keep the music going before reforming with Marty in 2011, ready to take their place in New Zealand’s metal elite once again with the all original line-up.
While very much a part of the metal community Shakahn’s music has always had much wider appeal and continues to win new fans every day.
Make sure you get down to San Fran Bath House on Thursday the 4th of October, and witness for yourself a musical experience that is not to be missed…

SPOOK THE HORSES
Layer three guitars, synthesiser and samples with bass and drums to create monumental songs that are at once saturated and spacious. Harsh and desperate vocals sparsely punctuate the mostly-instrumental tracks. The band released their debut album 'Brighter' in December 2011 to exclusively good reviews and are fast gaining a reputation for intense and emotional live shows.
