UHP released New Zealand's first rap record with the 12-inch hip-hop E Tū. They are firmly bedded with an urban palette of hip-hop, reggae, rap and te reo and have been long-recognised for their lyrical polemic against injustice and inequality - Colin Williams, Upper Hutt Leader.
The new album “Declaration Of Resistance” is a rap, reggae, funk, soul fusion.
Current lineup includes additional musicians and vocalists coalescing around the two central figures - Te Kupu who's recently transformed to rhythm guitar/vocals and MC Wiya on bass/vocals.
