Gig Information

Fishrider Records will be celebrating 7 years of releasing music with a special celebration on Friday 20th December at Chick's Hotel, Port Chalmers near Dunedin*.

What better way to celebrate 7 years than by releasing the LP version of Males 'Run Run Run/ MalesMalesMales' and by a pre-release local release of Trick Mammoth 'Floristry' (LP/CD)!

And to make it even more special we'll add in the last Astro Children show for 6 months (with copies of their 'Proteus' album courtesy of our good friends at MUZAI Records). Special guest Kane Strang will open proceedings at 9pm

The theme will be 'flowers'... male flowers, trick flowers, space flowers, dandelion, rhododendron... anything floral**

Pre-sale tickets will be $10 from Too Tone Records and Portil, available from Monday 16 December. The door charge will also be $10 but a pre-sale ticket will put you in a prize draw and qualify you for a discount off an album purchase. Plus the pre-sale tickets will also come with an exclusive pre-release download of the album.

* There's a bus (yay) from the city (free with your Radio One card or $5 each way). It leaves from Countdown (opp Cadbury) at 8:30 pm and from the Uni Library at 8:35. It returns after the show (@12:30 - 1:00 am)

** please note mistletoe is not a flower, but a parasitic plant
