Christchurch band PERMANENCE have been performing the music of Joy Division for over 5 years now.
Initially formed to play a one-off performance as part of the annual Ian Curtis Tribute events it was clear to see that people wanted more - so we obliged!
PERMANENCE are Danny Webster (Vocals/guitar/keyboards), Linda Baran (Bass) & Wade Byers (e-Drums).
The songs performed cover the extent of Joy Division's short career including early raw punk tracks from the Warsaw days through to their synth driven anthems.
This will be the 2nd time the band has ventured to the North Island and are excited about playing in the City of Sails.
