Gig Information

The past few years have been a remarkable time in Dunedin for music. Everyone goes on about the 80s being Dunedin’s golden decade for music, but there’s precious metal being formed here right now. All of this is the reason for Fishrider records compiling 13 favourite young Dunedin bands right now onto an LP and adding a 24 page magazine of words and images to give a flavour of what’s happening here.

The album has a US release on 16 September (with Ba Da Bing! Records, distributed through Revolver) and a UK/ Europe release 22 September (with Occultation Recordings, through Cargo). But this is Dunedin's chance to celebrate with most of the bands involved.

Because this album is all about discovering Dunedin Underground Pop entry is free if you pre-order the LP+zine or zine+CD here:

Tickets (entry to both nights and a download of the album plus e-zine) will also be available from Too Tone Records & Portil in Dunedin from 29 August for $15.

Friday 5th September - Adrian Ng (plays Mavis Gary/ Trick Mammoth), Kane Strang, OppositeSex, Bad Sav
Saturday 6th September - Strange Harvest, The Prophet Hens, The Shifting Sands, Death & The Maiden
