French for Rabbits have tirelessly toured abroad in Europe in the past 12 months, darting here and there, playing house concerts to prestigious theaters back to back. Most recently with Agnes Obel. A new album, 'Spirits', with new label, Lefse Records, has just been released and follow the links to discover more about this not-so-quiet folk quartet setting the world alight.
Brooke Singer is a former band member of Ragamuffin Chidren and with co-writer John Fitzgerald and their band mates Ben Wood and Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa formed French For Rabbits. Their music is described as dreamy folk, but for me, Brooke's soft whispering vocals enchants the listener to a secret world.
