Rangihoua Estate on Waiheke Island presents an evening of classic cool Cornerstone Roots, old school reggae and ska beats.
From deep in the South Pacific, Cornerstone Roots pay respect to the colossal world of Jamaican reggae, while confidently bringing their own influences and uplifting messages to the mix. This approach of classic cool and future consciousness has helped set the tone for reggae in Aotearoa New Zealand since 2001.
Cornerstone Roots will be supported by Auckland’s AceTones, featuring Mighty Jabsco, with time-honoured Jamaican classics, rare grooves and originals. From 60's ska and rocksteady to reggae, dub and funk, the band infuses the irresistible grooves of Jamaican music with their own distinctive style luring even the most unsuspecting listener onto the dancefloor.
Rangihoua is a beautiful venue with sheltered gardens surrounded by olive groves and native forest forming a natural amphitheature - a special Waiheke Island experience of classic cool Cornerstone Roots.
