Head down to Bodega for a night of dancing and drinking. Its Valentines day so whether you need somewhere to soothe your lonely heart or you need a super cool sexy place to take your date this is the place you wanna be.
The Heart of Katherine
The Heart of Katherine’s name was inspired by a busker Marty met who was singing love songs for his sick wife Katherine. Marty was so touched by the busker’s love for his wife he told him he wanted to release music and when he did it would be under the name ‘The Heart of Katherine’.
Marty is hoping the music he’s written will be heard by the inspirational busker one day.
The Heart of Katherine recently released their debut EP. The first track ‘My Salvation’ is one of those songs that creeps up on you and demands your attention. Not in a loud out there way, but in a subtle unforgettable way.
The Heart of Katherine is based in Wellington. The live line up includes Dave Carter (drums), Jim Denham, (bass) Damon Needham (guitar) and Marty Bryant (piano vocals).
Towers
Towers are an independent pop/folk band from Wellington New Zealand. They have a strong focus on vocal harmony and lyrics.
2014 was a busy year for Towers, they released their debut single ‘Phonecalls’ as well as their first live session’s video for their track ‘Battlecry’ and played a tonne of gigs all around the Wellington region.
In April they are travelling to Loose Stones Studios in the Gold Coast to record their debut EP.

Already securing house-band shows at popular CBD venue Concrete and well-known supporter of singer/songwriters, Courtenay Place bar The Welsh Dragon, Claudia has grown her fan base exponentially and can now count two major NZ cities as power bases.
Claudia signed with Southern Collective Music in early 2014.
