YAMI stands for Youth & Adults in the Music Industry and is the first summit of its kind in the South Island. As long as your somewhere between the ages of 10 and 110 you can enjoy a weekend of workshops, panel discussions and showcases as you find your place within the NZ music industry.
There's 3 age groups:
Junior - 10 - 13 years
Youth - 14 - 18 years
Adult - 19 to 110 years
And there's three workshop categories:
Creation and Performance (for the vocalists, MCs, instrumentalists, songwriters, band members)
Media, Marketing and Management (for the band managers, entrepreneurs, event managers)
Audio Production & Beats (for the audio engineers, producers, mixers, songwriters)
With tutors from Fat Freddy's Drop, TrinityRoots, Shapeshifter, The Black Seeds, Doprah, The Phoenix Foundation, MC Tali, Anika Moa, APRA, NZ on Air, Rippon Festival, Recorded Music NZ and more, it's a fine time to get together with like-minded peeps and find your world!
