BLACK FOX TRIO are a Heavy Rock trio with a tasty twist of Blues, seeking to bring all things hard-hitting and groovy to the table. 'RHYTHM IS YOUR KING' is their debut 5-track EP, including the recent single of the same name, and the NZ On Air funded 'Giants'.
Bringing music back to THE DUX: The Dux de Lux, and Dux Live have been havens for originals bands in Christchurch over the years, and has played a significant part in the growth and stimulation of the Christchuch music scene. Black Fox Trio are proud and and very humbled to be able to play a part in bringing that part of Dux culture back at the new Dux Central.
The 'Rhythm Is Your King' EP is a glimpse into the 'sound' of Black Fox Trio, a hard and fast look into what the band is and who they are. Including recent singles and crowd-favourites, this EP is roaring right from the get-go.
Playing gigs over and out of Christchurch since 2013 has helped the
trio form their sound by blending styles from each member’s musical
palette. The combination of influences such as: Muse, Queens Of The
Stone Age, Alice in Chains, Metallica and the Artic
Monkeys as well as music from the 70’s and above including: Yes,
Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin results in a blend of heavy riffs,
groovy hooks, annoyingly catchy melodies and enough solos to
satisfy even the hungriest of listeners!
Black Fox Trio are here to make a statement, and the music they
play is testament to the time and dedication they put into crafting
each song.
