Sonny Southon is a Samoan/Scottish singer-songwriter born and bred in New Zealand who has recently returned from the UK. During her time in London, she worked as a backing singer to various known artists including Sir Bob Geldof, Duran Duran and Matt Bianco before releasing two solo albums.
Her first album ‘Falling Through A Cloud’ sold 80,000 copies worldwide achieving critical acclaim and named Best Top 100 albums in the UK’s ‘Q’ magazine. It was produced by David Kershanbaum (Tracy Chapman/Sheryl Crow) in LA. The second album “All the Colors’ was produced by Jeff Lorber. She's currently working on another album and is also a fantastic live performer.
