The Nukes - ‘Ukulele will never be the same’
Azo Bell began playing music as a child in the 1960s. Jimi Hendrix and Jose Feliciano were among his early influences. He has played guitar in jazz, blues, rock, reggae, hi-life and latin groups, worked in free improvising ensembles plus recording and theatrical performances. He is also a master of ukulele and musical saw, and a designer and builder of fretted instruments.
The Refreshment Room is all about fresh, home made rustic Italian cuisine. We incorporate organic, free range and seasonal ingredients into our menu. The Nukes far more than a ukulele band. They are high entertainment. Part vaudeville, part rat-pack, part musical car crash. This talented trio delivers an engaging mix of humour and originality that audiences love.
The innocent little uke is the instrument of choice and audiences will be staggered by what they are able to achieve with it. Great songwriting, musicianship and 3-part harmony combine to create a truly memorable experience.
