Echo Children are going on tour and the first stop is Dunedin. As the old stomping grounds of drummer Niamh and home-away-from-home for Edinburgh-born guitarist Oliver, this is a really special gig for the band. They've been turning heads on the Auckland scene with their haunting alt-folk sound and killer harmonies.
They are thrilled to be joined by award-winning singer/songwriter, Matt Langley whose country and folk-influenced originals have drawn worthy comparisons to Wilco, Elliot Smith and Jeff Buckley.
Jared Smith of Jo Little & Jared Smith will also be gracing the stage with his bare bones, acoustic guitar-shredding bluesy folky country tunes.
Opening the show will be local legend Alan Gray, whose soulful singing voice is backed by a chorus of looping guitar riffs.
