Grawlixes are a Wellington (by way of Dunedin) based indie pop outfit. Featuring sweeping boy-girl vocal melodies & harmonies, with accordion and guitar. Grawlixes toured extensively throughout Europe with French for Rabbits in 2015 and are preparing the release of their first album Set Free in July 2017 through Home Alone Music with Southbound as a distributor.
Christchurch based Daniel Madill infuses a blend of psych-folk, blues and country, all rounded out with some lo fi roughness. He wields his funked up lo-fi blend of psych-folk/blues. Sounds to get you moving your feet and thinking your brain. Madill's songwriting contains absurdist wordplay filled with neoliberal nightmares. His songs will gently roll over you like a cool breeze on a summers day, but with enough edge to unsettle you out of your slumber.
Madill was a regular on the Dunedin music scene, performing as a soloist and fronting local bands The Peeling Room and The Painted Ocean before recently shifting to the shaky ground of Christchurch. He has shared the bill with the likes of The Tattle Tale Saints, The Eastern and Shunkan.
Candice Milner, 18 is from the seemingly sleepy hollow that is the port town of Lyttelton. A young folk musician, currently gigging many week-ends (& mids)
