Emily Roughton's fiddle playing is firmly grounded in Scottish roots. Together with band 'Fiddlelore,' she toured the UK in 2011, and was a semi-finalist in the TV show NZ's Got Talent 2008 (beaten by a hip hop dancer!). She’s the 2012 and 2013 Scottish Fiddle Champion and has taught at the NZ Gaidhealtachd and Celticanz music festivals. She annually conducts the Auckland Folk Festival Youth Orchestra, has performed on the main stage at the Auckland Folk Festival, Auckland Arts Festival and Edinburgh Fringe.
Tonight will be a bit different though as Em will be slotting in to Mark's eclectic folk/rock/blues/singer/songwriter mix - though we'll make sure she has plenty of opportunity to show her style.
As always there's no door charge - just a koha teapot on the counter where you're welcome to show your appreciation for the music. One2One has a delicious, diverse & interesting menu & drinks selection, wonderful atmosphere, an open fire & plenty of warm company.
