Gig Information

A truly unique audio and visual experience, the EVOLUTION TOUR, is coming to a location near you for 3 dates, from the 25th - 29th of October. Join us at Leroy’s bar in Wellington on the 25th, the Stomach in Palmerston North on the 27th and the Plimmerton Boating Club on the 28th of October. Evolution Tours have created an immersive showcase of bands, solo acts and visual effects, featuring the debut performances from four-piece electronic set LURE and Wellington’s own WADE. With performances from some of Wellington’s favourite musical acts: Bruiser, JN’R and Solomon Crook.

A culmination of months of work, this tour will showcase the creative efforts of 22 young creatives from around New Zealand, who are committed to providing an experience that surpasses expectation. Having worked together through various projects over the past two years and having put on various gigs throughout Wellington, the culmination of their work lies in the stunning presentation of visual effects and talented musicians, appearing at various venues across the lower north island.

The creators of these visual effects have been working tirelessly with the featured bands and performers to create a visual extravaganza for the audience that compliments the variety of musical acts featured. Appearing at three different venues around the lower north island: Wellington’s premiere bar ‘Leroy’s’, Palmerston North’s iconic ‘The Stomach’ venue, and Plimmerton’s beloved Boating Club. We plan on bringing our visual experience to a location near you.

Both LURE and WADE have impending single releases, and will be sharing the stage with some of Wellington’s best, fresh solo acts: Bruiser, JN’R and Solomon Crook, all three of whom being students at Massey University.

This tour is presented by Massey University’s College of Creative Arts, as part of their bachelor of commercial music (BComMus) program.
