Punk It Up
Sat Feb 17 2018
Continuing the tradition of memorable gigs at The Kings Arms, Punk It Up returns to the KA on Saturday Feb 17 for the real "last ever punk show" before the venue takes its rightful place in the history of Auckland live music venues. With so much music crammed into one night, it's no wonder doors are opening earlier than normal at 7:00 PM.
It's definitely the real "Final Punk Show At The Kings Arms"
FEATURING Proud Scum (first show in a decade!), No Tag (short set), The Johnnys, Flesh D-Vice (also first show in bloody ages), Wolfpack (from Aus), bankRobbers (with very special guests), MISHAP, The Rocket Jocks, DJs Miss Dom, Phil A, and Dubhead, and an After Party (with Guest DJs) until the wee small hours, hosted by bFM's Gang Of Four show.... whew, talk about bang for your buck!
It’s a total venue takeover - bands in the main bar, the front bar hosting stalls selling heaps of punk paraphernalia from the bands performing (and a bunch of artists that aren’t), just because we decide when it's "Over".
With musical acts performing a mixture of new material and old classics, the whole night is set to encourage community around the punk aesthetic, and expose you to some intelligent and positive alternative thinking, as well as a healthy dose of fast noisy punk rock’n’roll, and of course, seeing The Kings Arms off in style with the real "final punk show"
