Born out of the famed New Zealand School of Music, Tunes Of I are fast developing into one of the nation’s most exciting roots acts. Featuring a solid backbone of drums, bass, vocals and guitars, and complemented by some of Wellington's finest horn players, Tunes of I - or TOI as they are also known - are renowned around the country for their original, tight and refreshing live performances.
During their six years on the scene TOI have played some of the country’s greatest music festivals, including Rhythm & Vines and Soundsplash, toured the nation many times over and shared the stage with international artists like UB40, The Original Wailers, Sticky Fingers & Ocean Alley, along with local legends like Tiki Taane, Cornerstone Roots & The Black Seeds.
The new project was recorded at Wellington's Surgery Studios with the Doctor, Lee Prebble, mastered by Mike Gibson at Munki Studios and features five tracks true to the core inspired T.O.I sound.
