Gig Information

As part of the Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival!

Come down to the Bath House Stage on the beach to enjoy an afternoon of top NZ music featuring, Superhero Second Line, The Frank Burkitt Band, Albion Place and The Killer Seas.

Superhero Second Line is a mixing pot of culture and identity. Bringing together the familiar sounds of the traditional New Orleans Brass Band as well as modern pop and classic blues songs, Superhero Second Line are entertaining to people from all walks of life. Being retired Superheroes, excluding the odd documentary, they all decided to pick up instruments and form a band playing tunes from their favorite genres, often heard on Superhero Radio.

High energy folk and blues, The Frank Burkitt Band are a string band, popular at festivals and venues throughout New Zealand! They have entertained crowds from Whangarei to Dunedin and following the release of their second album Raconteur, toured Australia and NZ earlier this year. They will be joined by one man horn section Oscar Laven.

A cultural success story of the deep South - young indie-rock outfit, Albion Place, have begun to develop a reputation throughout New Zealand and abroad. In the relatively short time they have been together, the band have consistently been able to transcend the parameters of their local bubble and bottle the experience of youth itself into a package that has drawn a loyal and ever-expanding fan base; stretching much further than the confines of their hometown, Dunedin.
