Gig Information

Te Papaioea two-piece Fruit Juice Parade are chuffed to announce their debut EP the more you don\'t know the less you know and an entirely All Ages tour to celebrate it.

Part of the Aotearoa emo revival, Shannen Petersen (Guitar, Vocals) and Tharushi Bowatte (Drums, Vocals) have garnered a reputation as a highlight of the Palmerston North scene. Across 5 tracks, the more you don’t know the less you know sees the band process the transition from high school to adulthood and the heady mix of fear and excitement that comes with it. Lead single Legislation is a condensed two minutes of punk-pop ending on the repeated hook “government planned a party”.

The band’s 2017 single Whaling caught the attention of Australasian music press, making Single of the Week on The Spinoff for its “plaintive, yearning melodicism.” It debuted on Noisey who said “It\'s got all the flavour of the modern pop punk resurgence: drops of hope, realism, and angst where appropriate.”

Legislation is out now.
the more you don\'t know the less you know out Oct 5th on Papaiti Records.
