Audio Foundation is proud to present: Jasmine Guffound!
Berlin-based electronic composer and sound artist Jasmine Guffond makes a special appearance in Aotearoa New Zealand this March to perform one concert only at Samoa House, Auckland. Guffond will also exhibit current sound work at the Audio Foundation.
From the outsider folk of 2008's The Demolition Series, to her compelling 'sonification' of surveillance data in the highly
acclaimed Traced, to the digital devolution of 2018's Degradation Loops, Guffond’s inquisitive and humanistic response to the world shines through in her poetic shaping of sound, data and composition.
Interviewed in The Wire, January 2019, Guffond says I think sound is a unique way of experiencing data because it can be sensual, you can feel it.
