Gig Information

Diving deep into soul of Afrobeat Jazz as part of the Wellington Jazz Festival, is spoken word artist Bohemian Thought and his 9 piece band, The Magnificents. Bohemian thought who is on the cusp of the release of his sophomore album Nomadic Soul in 2020, explores the sound of the prior of Afrobeat, Fela Anikulapo Kuti as part of the Wellington Jazz Festival.

This is another unique mashup session of vibrant Fela Kuti's captivating rhythms and Bohemian Thought's spoken word prose. This fusion session of Jazz funk will keep heads bopping and wanting for more. A true celebration of contemporary West African Music at its finest.
