Gig Information

Só Samba is celebrating 5 years of bringing Festa Junina parties to the Wellington public with its ForAll project, so this year is going to be very special!

We’ll have our party for the first time at The Grand in Courtenay Place, so there will be plenty of space to dance to your favourite forró tunes!

It's also going to be Matariki and NZ is celebrating the Maori new year, with a fireworks display at the waterfront at 6.30pm. Come along and party after watching the fireworks and having a bite to eat!

We'll have ForAll live band and DJ Da Lua playing forró tunes all night. There will also be delicious quentão – a warm drink made with cachaça and spices.

ForAll plays forró music from the Northeast of Brazil which is especially popular during the winter months - including the June Festivals, which mark the end of summer and the beginning of the harvest and celebrate a number of Christian saints.

Tickets - $6 online at Eventfinda $7 at the door

Don't forget ID, Passport or NZ drivers licence.

All proceeds go to the musicians, producers, and volunteers :)

ForAll line-up:

Emiliano Couto Xavier - Vocals/Triangle
André Ô Black - Bass/vocals
Chris Mullholland - Guitar
