Akemi is a symptomatic product of late capitalism that simultaneously explores the flattening of materiality through digital representational technologies and the expanding of technical capacities through accelerated urban developments. They draw upon 20th century art movements such as dada, noise and glitch, reworked towards 21st century desires, fears and banalities.
