Shooglenifty’s unique blend of traditional Celtic folk embraces a wealth of world-music flavours ranging from electronica to alternative rock.
For nearly three decades, the Shoogles (as they are affectionately known) have been fusing traditional and traditional-sounding melodies with the beats and basslines of a mixed bag of contemporary influences, all in the name of promoting great Scottish music, and having a lot of fun along the way.
Fresh from high profile appearances including the 2019 Edinburgh International Festival, the band are in sparkling form. Shooglenifty have always thrived on their ability to light up the stage with joy and verve. Expect some electric new tunes and a full-on set of old favourites.
“Shooglenifty, self-styled as ‘Acid Croft’, have the musical wanderlust as well as the rocking electric bottom end to summon their audience to a world ceilidh.” **** THE SCOTSMAN
