A LOVE LETTER TO THE OCEANS
New Zealand’s premier national chamber choir, Voices New Zealand, performs a stunning and musical reminder of the beauty and importance of our oceans.
Taonga Moana is a celebration of uplifting and moving music by composers from Canada, Latvia, Indonesia and United States, as well as new works by New Zealand’s Warren Maxwell, capturing his personal experiences of the Southern Ocean and Antarctica; and Finland’s Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, who writes about the currents of the Arctic Ocean.
The glorious music will be accompanied by a landscape of projected moving images by Australian multimedia artists Tim Gruchy and Mic Gruchy, creating in a spectacular audio-visual experience.
“[Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir has] supreme polish and breath-taking accuracy.” THE DOMINION POST
