Gig Information

Hamilton indie-folk band Looking For Alaska are releasing their new album 'Light and Shadow' this November, and to celebrate are playing a bunch of sick as shows around New Zealand!

The tour kicks off with 3 rowdy, full band shows in November, followed by a full tour of more intimate venues around the country through January and February.

It's been 4 years since LFA's debut album was released, and in that time they've been busy touring NZ, Australia and Europe, and writing and developing the exciting new songs that feature on 'Light and Shadow.' The album has a much more mature, darker sound than anything you've heard from LFA before, reflecting the growth and maturity in the relationship between core members Amy Maynard and Aaron Gott.

--------------------------------------

Looking For Alaska are stoked to be playing K Roads infamous Anthology Lounge for the first time, with stellar support from Auckland locals Kendall Elise and Albi & The Wolves.

Doors open at 7.30pm, music starts at 8.30pm. Presale tickets $20 from Eventfinda, door sales $25 on the night.

Albi & The Wolves set fire to stages and fill hearts with hope with their energetic and relatable alternative indie folk songs. Chris Dent, the proud albino frontman Albi, Pascal Roggen and Micheal Young have crafted a stage show that’s brimming with energy and moments to pause for reflection. The trio has a huge sound that is simply created by an acoustic guitar, electric violin, double bass and their three voices. Since 2014 they have gone from strength to strength touring in Australia, New Zealand and Rarotonga and in 2018 they took home the Best Folk Artist Award at the NZVMA’s.

Kendall Elise is an intriguing story teller with a hint of yesteryear. With trademark quirky touches and flawless vocal delivery, she has been turning heads since she launched her solo career in 2016 with her debut single ‘Heart Full of Dirt’. It paved the way for the Kiwi singer-songwriter’s self-produced debut EP I Didn’t Stand A Chance, released in March 2017. It earned the Kiwi singer and songwriter critical acclaim, after being selected as a top 3 finalist for the APRA Best Country Music Song 2017 presented at that year’s NZ Country Music Awards.
