Mia Jay and her incredible band are embarking on their second nationwide tour. Mia’s 2nd EP ‘Stalled On a Highway’ is about to hit the streets and aims to explore the inner thoughts of a lost and confused almost-adult. With music that centres around vivid lyricism while shaped by different musical influences, this gig will be one to chuck in the diary.
Mia is joined by two of Hawkes Bay’s favourites; Alexander Luck and upcoming band The Drams.
Indie-pop artist Alexander Luck is influenced by artists such as Ben Howard, Kings of Leon and Chet Faker. He spent most of 2019 in Europe, recording the So Far EP and a handful of other singles. Alongside this, a regular busking routine and acoustic gigs helped him to carve out his own unique sound in a crowded market.
The Drams are a relatively new collaborative group but individually are no strangers to the music scene. Describing their style as alternative/psychedelic/indie/rock, they’ll be sure to get the crowd nice n warm and kick off a beautiful evening.
