“Kōpūtai People’s Party (K.P.P.) is a Port Chalmers based band centred around the songwriting of Scott Klenner. K.P.P.see their style as an eclectic mix, drawing on blues, pop, country, funk and reggae with rocky overtones. Known for many years as HUMBOLDT the music keeps playing through an enlarged musical whanau of seven band members. All of them shifting fluidly around the demands of daily life and the Dunedin musical culture of playing in as many bands as possible at once. At the heart of the band beats a large body of original songs.
