The launch of the Dunedin Jazz Club features the music of Sydney based tenor saxophonist and composer Michael Gordon, who has recently released three albums of his original compositions and arrangements for 9 piece jazz ensemble. He is supported by local jazz singer Molly McGee.
Note: Unfortunately, trumpet Diva Edwina Thorne from Auckland can no longer perform at this concert due to the change in Covid Alert Levels. We look forward to welcoming Edwina to the DJC at a later date.

Bio: Michael Gordon attended Sydney Conservatorium and has spent the last 10 years living in Sydney. He has performed with many of Australia's finest jazz musicians such as John Harkins, Andrew Dickeson, Michael Griffin, Dave Panichi, Arthur Washington and Geoff Bull. He has also played many festivals with renowned Ethiopian singer Dereb the Ambassador including the 2013 Tokyo and Iwate Jazz Festivals. Michael's music has been featured on ABC radio shows Daily Planet and Jazztrack and received multiple reviews in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian newspapers.
