The Raskolnikovs are back for a whistle stop, one-nite-only show on April 1st - presenting their raucous blend of 19th C. NZ folk-horror and Eastern European polka punk rock that will have you cutting a rug on the Laundry dance floor.
You'll kick yourself if you miss this opportunity to see one of Wellington’s longest running bands tear up the stage in their old Cuba Street stomping ground; a stone’s throw from where they formed back in the halcyon days of 2003.
From house parties to grand hootenannies like the final night at Mighty Mighty, this “impeccably dressed collection of Russian gypsy sailors” have played 100s of shows across New Zealand, Australia and the UK in the past 18 years, leaving a bunch of converts in their wake. With previous shows COVID-cancelled, this is the first time back on stage since 2019 – and they can’t wait!
So to celebrate this special event – The entire Raskolnikovs back catalogue will be free to download on Bandcamp from now until the end of the show. Go nuts!
BTW it’s Good Friday the following day so no excuses.
April really is the coolest month.
