Come and celebrate Porpoise's releasing of their debut EP Blue Whale with Bathysphere and Fazed on a Pony. After forming in September 2020, Porpoise soon got recording and are excited to finally share their first work with everyone!
Porpoise is a Dunedin band formed in 2020 by Lucy Pollock, Joel Field, Seddie Hewitson, Tom Schultz and Ellen Walters. Porpoise aims to continue the legacy of the legendary Dunedin Sound scene of the 80s - 90s, taking classical sensibilities from The Verlaines, Look Blue Go Purple's jangly guitars, and The Chills' dark, moody style of pop and merges them with their own unique shoegazing, post-punk style.
